Covid pandemic to cancer epidemic?

Covid pandemic to cancer epidemic? Nearly three years into the COVID-19 pandemic, we continue to wait for the long-term impacts to eventuate. We've already witnessed a profound toll on society's mental, physical, and financial wellbeing and, potentially, an increase in life insurance claims.

But what about the secondary health impacts of Covid, which are less talked about but just as threatening? Since the beginning of the pandemic, thousands of Australians have delayed or deferred taking important cancer screenings and tests because of restrictions on movement and access to health services. With numerous cancer cases expected to go undetected, what impacts on society, super, and insurance can we expect to see?

The September luncheon briefing featured speakers from MLC Life Insurance, leading specialist from CancerAid, and key perspectives from the Super Industry.
